OverviewIndustrial Electrical Engineer - Mining and Metals position at BBA Consultants.By joining our team, you will contribute to the various stages of project execution, including proposals, analysis studies for industrial power systems, detailed engineering, equipment specifications, site surveys, site monitoring and commissioning of substation equipment, with support from BBA’s network of experts for your mandates and career development.ResponsibilitiesHelp with detailed engineering projectsDesign and read diagrams and drawingsDraft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and study reportsApply and improve established work methodsParticipate in project management (execution, costs, schedules)Participate in coordination meetings either internally or with clientsCarry out site surveysProvide site supervisionParticipate in commissioning substation equipmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMember in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du QuébecAt least 5 years of experience in engineering as well as reading and preparing diagrams and wiring plansAvailable for short-term assignments (mandatory) and long-term assignments (asset) to client sites across CanadaKnowledge of MS Office and other database applicationsBasic knowledge of HV/MV/LV apparatus and safety in electrical installationsAdvanced level of English to collaborate effectively with BBA offices and/or clients outside Québec.
