Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) - Relocation to Sept-ÎlesJoin to apply for the Industrial Electrical Engineer (CEP) role at BBA Consultants.Your future role on our team To pursue project and client development in the Sept-Îles region, BBA wants to bolster its local multidisciplinary team. Working with our offices in Labrador City, Montréal and Mont-Saint-Hilaire, this team is involved in developing the Sept-Îles region and executing projects in the mining and metals, and energy sectors. Our electrical engineering teams combine cutting-edge technical expertise with a strong commitment to operating and maintaining industrial power systems.Role summary You’ll assist industrial clients in the energy and mining markets with operations and maintenance or growth projects, including site surveys, tests on high- and medium-voltage equipment, commissioning of new equipment and systems, and involvement in various stages of project execution. You’ll also help ensure quality professional services and maintain strong client relationships.Location and schedule Based in Sept-Îles with availability for short-term assignments between Sept-Îles and Labrador City, and potential assignments across Québec and Canada as required.ResponsibilitiesAssist industrial clients in day-to-day operations: troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, staff training, shutdown planning and asset managementPerform site surveysParticipate in equipment testing and commissioningConduct analyses on industrial power systems (short-circuit, power flow, protection coordination, arc-flash, harmonics, steady-state and transient analyses)Design and read electrical drawingsDraft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications and reportsAttend internal or client coordination meetingsParticipate in project management (costs, schedules, labour, etc.)QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringMember of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (or equivalent)Three or fewer years of relevant engineering experienceAvailable for short-term and long-term assignments with clients across Québec and CanadaKnowledge of MS Office; ability to draft technical documents in English and FrenchBilingual (English and French)Assets: IGEE graduate; onsite experience related to industrial networks; knowledge of ETAP, EasyPower, CYME or EMTP-RVAbout the role and location Sept-Îles offers a dynamic community with diverse activities and access to services while allowing relocation opportunities with BBA.Benefits and opportunitiesCompetitive base salary and benefitsAnnual bonus program for regular employeesGroup insurance from day one, retirement savings plan, vacation and sick leaveOnsite mobility premium and other employee programsProfessional development and mentorship within an experienced engineering networkAbout BBA For over 40 years, BBA has delivered engineering solutions in the Energy and Natural Resources sector across Canada, with a network of 18 offices.
