As a host with Marriott Hotels, you will help keep the promise of “Wonderful Hospitality. p>The Executive Chef is a culinary leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of food production for Outlets and Banquets and the stewarding department. This role includes developing creative menus, analyzing cost ratios, and being responsible for food ordering specifications and recipes. The Executive Chef leads and trains kitchen staff, manages budgets, and ensures compliance with health and safety standards.Oversight of the selection, training, development, and supervision of food production team members, including Sous Chefs, Cooks, and other Kitchen Hosts.Design and develop menus for all food service areas, taking into account the customer base, dish popularity, current trends, production costs, and other relevant factors.Monitor Marriott Guestvoice feedback to assess food quality and identify trends. Implement necessary adjustments to meet or exceed brand standards and guest expectations.Schedule and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure all food preparation follows recipes and is executed to the highest technical standards.Conduct regular inventories, assess food supply needs, and order necessary food and supplies to maintain efficient kitchen operations.Ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are consistently maintained throughout the kitchen.Establish and enforce controls to minimize food and supply waste and prevent theft.Continuously improve food quality across outlets and banquets, adapting to market demands and guest expectations.Provide culinary expertise and support to the Leadership Team, particularly the Director of Food & Beverage Operations.Manage departmental resources, including food cost, labor expenses, and overall financial performance, ensuring budget adherence and cost-effective operations.Conduct quarterly departmental meetings to review business performance and identify areas for improvement.Build and maintain strong relationships with authorized food vendors to ensure consistent supply and quality.Must have five years of prior experience as Executive Chef.Certification as Executive Chef or Certified Master Chef by a government accredited agency.Extensive knowledge of food products, standard recipes and exceptional presentation.COP/First Aid Certifications and training an asset.Artistic ability and passion to reach hotel’s vision with the Food & Beverage Division.Must be available to work rotating shifts and weekends.Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) a definite asset.Use of ADP, Empower GXP, Microsoft Office and MGS
