Clinical Specialist Instructor – Nursing

Calian is seeking a Clinical Specialist Instructor in Nursing to help support the design, development, and delivery of Canadian Forces Health Services Group Training and Education programs.
Responsibilities- Instruct Clinical Specialty T&E Programs
- Develop lesson plans
- Prepare classing, equipment, job aids, and learning tools for instruction
- Set up/break down of training requirements such as dismantling equipment and classrooms
- Counsel and provide remedial Training and Education to students who are experiencing academic difficulties
- Assess students
- Advise on student performance
- Maintain student files and feedback notes
- Advise on the quality and efficiency of the instruction
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree OR post graduate diploma/certificate from a recognized Canadian University or College or from an equivalent in the following occupations: Health Service Management Officer, Nursing Officer, Pharmacy Officer, Medical Officer, Bio Science Officer, Physiotherapy Officer, Dental Officer, Dental Technician, Physician Assistant
- Must have completed a minimum of sixty training days within the last three years in instructing in military health services in the following occupations: Medical Technician, Medical Assistant Technician, Dental Technician, Physician Assistant, Preventive Medical Technician, Health Service Management Officer, Nursing Officer, Pharmacy Officer, Medical Officer, Bio Science Officer, Physiotherapy Officer, Dental Officer
- Must hold a valid professional license in good standing with the respective governing body for the following occupations: Nursing Officer, Pharmacy Officer, Medical Officer, Physiotherapy Officer, Dental Officer, Dental Technician, Physician Technician
- Must have one year experience within the last five years operating training simulators in any of the following fields: Aerospace Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine, General Medical Simulation, General Military Simulation
- Bilingual in both Official languages preferred
- You must have the ability to work onsite, as public transportation may not always be available
- You must be a Canadian Citizen
- You must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret level
