The CRT staff is a vital component of ensuring uninterrupted patient care delivery by providing coverage for planned absences of inpatient Occupational Therapists. This position requires an individual who is highly skilled, agile, and adaptable with excellent time management and interprofessional skills. Within the CRT, Operations and Practice are supported by a Manager, Educator and the Professional Practice Leader for Occupational Therapy.QualificationsMasters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.Licensed with the College of Audiologists & Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO).Previous experience with assessment and management of communication and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting, including video‑fluoroscopic assessment.MBSImp certification is preferred or willingness to be certified.Experience with acute adult communication and swallowing disorders in a hospital setting.Experience with elderly patients with co‑morbid neurological, surgical and medical conditions.Experience with critical care and end‑of‑life care is preferred.Experience with tracheostomies is preferred.Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and student learning.Strong case management skills and demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced team environment.Superior interpersonal communication skills, including verbal and written communication.Interest in potential professional and career development opportunities.Satisfactory attendance and performance required.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementTrillium Health Partners’ is an equal opportunity employer who values the importance of antiracism work and is committed to integrating antiracism, diversity, equity and inclusion best practices throughout THP operations, policies and culture.
