Civil Engineering Student - Vancouver Requisition ID: 96739 Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada Job Category: Campus Employment Type: Internship Salary Range: $26.00 - $34.00. Additional rewards may include bonuses, benefits, and other programs. Internship length: 8 months, starting January 2026. Reporting to: Infrastructure, Highways & Bridges group. Responsibilities Work with the engineer of record: Review technical information from construction teams: test reports, checklists, survey files, etc. Review redlines and as-built construction information for completeness. Work with the project manager: Track progress of Inspection & Testing Plans, Non‑conformance Reports, redline drawings, record drawings, etc. Follow up with design team members. Qualifications Minimum 2nd‑year student in a Civil Engineering degree program at an accredited university. In good academic standing. Interest in civil engineering—bridges and miscellaneous structures as a career. Extracurricular involvement is considered an asset. Experience with municipal infrastructure, utility coordination, geotechnical field work, and construction is an asset. Experience developing project layouts and civil details. Competencies Good understanding of engineering and business fundamentals. Ability to learn quickly and take on new challenges. Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Shows critical and creative thinking and problem solving, providing solutions for client challenges. Adapts and embraces change.
