How will you contribute:

Collaborating with the Manager, IT Asset Management, the analyst will ensure that hardware assets are accurately onboarded, deployed, discovered, and populated in the Asset Management Database (AMDB)/Configuration Management Database (CMDB). Hardware assets will be effectively tracked throughout each stage of the lifecycle to be re-harvested, or decommissioned following ITAD standard processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain an accurate inventory of assets, including servers, desktops, laptops, network equipment, virtual, cloud, and container-based assets across all stages of their lifecycle.
  2. Track all hardware asset inventories globally from acquisition to decommission.
  3. Work closely with vendors and suppliers for hardware purchase, warranty, and maintenance.
  4. Partner with IT Configuration Management to populate and update the configuration management database with accurate information.
  5. Liaise with other groups, such as software asset management, configuration management, network, and information security, and all business segments for seamless asset management.
  6. Govern and audit the ITAD process to ensure accurate and responsible decommission, disposal, destruction, recycling, and harvesting of hardware during its lifecycle.
  7. Perform inventory checks, validations and attestations of all hardware classes to ensure completeness, correctness and compliance with ITAM and risk standards.
  8. Manage and produce real time, on-demand hardware reports, metrics etc. via dashboards in ITAM tools.
  9. Manage and resolve intake requests, incidents and inquiries related to hardware lifecycle management.
  10. Initiating forensic investigations and reviews of hardware assets to uncover non-compliance, policy and process breaches, reduce risk, and remediate issues.
  11. Using industry standard ITAM tools such as ServiceNow SAM/HAM, ServiceNow CMDB, and other tools.
Skills and Experience:
  1. Minimum (3+) years of experience with IT asset management, licensing, software sales, software auditing firms, hardware asset management, procurement, or software purchasing.
  2. Strong knowledge of hardware asset life cycle management processes including planning, acquisition, deployment, monitoring, decommission, and disposal.
  3. Strong knowledge utilizing and/or implementing asset management tools, including automated discovery configuration tools and processes (ServiceNow, SCCM, etc.)
  4. Good understanding of API's and integrations that support asset discovery.
  5. Knowledge of the ServiceNow platform, mainly Ham Pro.
  6. IT Asset Manager certification (CHAMP) preferred.
Must Haves:
  1. ITIL Knowledge and hardware asset management experience.
  2. Knowledge managing and promoting data quality, integrity, and security of ITAM and CMDB repositories.
  3. Skills in analyzing CMDB data to highlight anomalies and errors and to find opportunities for improvement.
  4. Experience working with configuration item (CI) owners to define remediation plans.

Salary range is expected to be between

$71,925.00 CAD - $119,875.00 CAD
