Addiction and Problem Gambling Counsellor

ResponsibilitiesInclude:

· Conduct assessments toensure that the client receives the appropriate services.

· Refer to other community services when needed.

· Communicate regularly with community treatmentagencies to monitor the progress of the client.

· Create and offer education sessions about addictionand problem gambling for the community.

· ABachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or College diploma in Social Workor related field.

· Experiencein the provision of counselling services.

· Understandingof the issues involved in working with substance abuse and gambling.

· Bilingualin both English and French (written and oral).
