Reporting to the Director of Rehabilitation Services (Rehabilitative, Seniors and Orthopedic Assessment Clinic), the successful applicant is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the multi-disciplinary teams within a patient-centred Collaborative Practice Model for patient care units and programs within the South Shore (Lunenburg/Queens/Shelburne County) area of NSH (WZ). The Manager Rehabilitation/Seniors WZ plans, develops, implements, coordinates, evaluates and manages all activities and resources of a coordinated and integrated rehab/seniors program for the Western Zone as well as Mobility Teams. The programs operate based on evidence, using a population health approach addressing identified health needs of the zone while promoting relationships within NSH, various communities, and external interest groups. p>
The Manager ensures that the principles and practices that guide NSH such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships, and interprofessional collaboration are visible at the front line and within daily activities.
- Baccalaureate degree related to healthcare or management is required.
- Call and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Travel to other sites is required and must have access to a reliable vehicle.
