POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Support Specialist is a product champion within our organization, focusing on: initiatives in product lifecycle planning, assisting in planning and executing the 3-5 year product road map, technical challenges, product innovation and working cross functionally specifically with engineering to launch new products and product enhancements.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Innovation through new product development and enhancement of existing products (including software tools).
  2. Develop customer solutions for technical product challenges.
  3. Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for customers, agents and staff.
  4. Ensure brand consistency throughout product line-up.
  5. Assist the Product Manager in analyzing product performance, product competitiveness, and product trends.
  6. Research and monitor competitor product and service offerings.
  7. Work with the Sales and Marketing team on product promotion initiatives.
  8. Product visualization and renderings.
  9. Contribute to product pricing strategies and guidelines.
  10. Analyze industry trends and market demands to recommend product enhancements.
  11. Develop and maintain all technical product support information.
  12. Ensure product offering compliance with relevant code requirements.
  13. Contribute to the overall functioning of the team by maintaining and sharing awareness of best practices and emerging technologies.
  14. Special projects and other duties as required.

SKILLS

  1. Professional and friendly with a passionate customer service attitude.
  2. Excellent problem-solving and organization skills.
  3. Strong attention to detail.
  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, and working knowledge in AutoDesk suite of products.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  6. Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  7. Resourceful and proactive.
  8. Familiar with basic project management best practices.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  1. Post secondary education in Marketing or Engineering.
  2. Work experience in product and/or project management an asset.
  3. 4 - 6 years of work experience in product development and/or product support.
  4. Experience in marketing related activities an asset.
  5. Must be able to travel 15-25% of the time.
