Business Intelligence Analyst

We are looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst who will play a critical part in engineering top-notch products and services in a unique industry and at a rapidly growing organization.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, the role involves transforming data into easy to digest intuitive visuals and outputs in Microsoft Power BI to help our business and clients make educated decisions. You will work across numerous business areas with the support of coworkers to impact and build dashboards for our clients. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in identifying and developing business solutions, using queries and analytical tools to enhance the end-user experience.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Analyze data and create robust data visualizations & dashboards for our internal and external clients. You will work with our internal team and/or business leaders, making consultative recommendations for process improvement and enhancements.
  • Partner with our IT / Snowflake teams to ensure data availability, and dashboard functionality and features are performing adequately.
  • Partner with our Data Modeling & Consultants to create/design new business intelligence, reporting and data analysis solutions.
  • Drive medium to large-scale projects within the organization.
  • Help to manage multiple projects, develop project plans and monitor performance ensuring timely completion of projects and appropriate reporting.
  • Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Highly detail oriented and organized to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Prior experience with dashboard creation and writing SQL queries is preferred
  • Proficient in DAX expression language

Desired Characteristics

  • 5+ years of working experience, or education related experience
  • 3+ years experienced user in PowerBI
  • SQL, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of DAX, Snowflake, SSIS
  • Python, and/or Visual Basic for Application (VBA) would be an asset
  • Demonstrated evidence of and proven analytical and problem-solving capability; including ability to analyze process changes from the business perspective
