Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a QA Tester. This is a remote contract to hire. In this role, you will be supporting a newly created development team who is working on fast-paced projects in the creative marketing industry. You will report to the Director of Application Development. This is a new role on a new team.

Skills
Ideal Skills & Experience
  1. 3-5 years of increasingly responsible testing experience
  2. Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and technologies
  3. Proficiency in designing and maintaining application tests using tools like Azure DevOps, Ranorex, or others
  4. Experience with both manual and automated testing processes
  5. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes
  6. Strong SQL querying skills for test verification and data manipulation
  7. Experience with CI/CD processes and understanding of best practices
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities
  1. Design, create, and execute manual and automated test cases using appropriate quality assurance techniques
  2. Ensure quality issues and defects are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved in the defect tracking system
  3. Guide the team in overall quality awareness and take a supportive role in the product improvement process
  4. Manage test coverage and coordinate testing efforts within the team
  5. Work with developers and stakeholders to gather requirements and break them down into functional and regression tests
  6. Implement test strategies to maximize return for the business
  7. Develop SQL database queries for ensuring database entries during testing and setting up test data
  8. Troubleshoot test issues before involving development resources
  9. Stay current with new testing technologies and contribute to improving existing solutions
