Under the general direction from the Senior Asset Reliability Specialist prepare the weekly schedules for the mill maintenance trade crews, work with the maintenance supervisors to move around and reprioritize work as weekly priorities change, close out completed work orders, and work with the planning team to prioritize ready to schedule work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all scheduled jobs comply with all New Gold, provincial, and federal policies related to health, safety, and the environment.
  • Collaborate with the Shutdown Coordinator as well as Operations and Maintenance supervision and management to screen and prioritize the work backlog.
  • As required assist the Shutdown Coordinator in the production of weekly work forecasts as well as long term work projections.
  • Direct the activities of the Material Coordinators to kit and stage materials for planned and scheduled work.
  • Directing the activities of the Material Coordinators to return unused materials to warehouse inventory, and to prepare rebuildable equipment and components for refurbishment.
  • Work with maintenance supervisors to prioritize work throughout the week and maintain schedule compliance.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to maintain a constant feedback loop with ideas and suggestions to continually optimize job planning and scheduling.
  • Assist with the continued management of asset bills of material (BOMs).
  • Compile and archive completed work order documentation. Including closing of work orders and scanning and attaching all completed work order documents in SAP.
  • As required, help with planning when team members are on vacation or leave.
  • Perform other duties as required and as directed by Senior Asset Reliability Specialist.

Schedule: 5/2, 4/3 - 9 hours per day or 7/7 - 12 hours per day
