Great news Quantum has partnered with a great manufacturing client located in Mississauga to hire a hands‑on Maintenance Manager for their growing company. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for leading, planning, and executing maintenance strategies that ensure the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate is not only technically strong but also a change leader who can drive cultural transformation toward disciplined maintenance practices and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance (PM) program to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Lead the transition from reactive to proactive maintenance, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and reliability. Plan, schedule, and oversee regular PM activities across all assets and systems. Ensure that maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Track equipment performance metrics, analyze failure trends, and develop corrective and preventive action plans. Collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to minimize equipment‑related disruptions. Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships. Coach, mentor, and develop maintenance team members to enhance technical skills and promote a preventive mindset. Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, energy efficiency, and cost control. Implement CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) best practices to ensure accurate scheduling, tracking, and reporting of all maintenance activities. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent technical experience). 5–10 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production plant, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role. Proven success in developing and implementing preventive maintenance programs in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems. Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and improve team engagement. Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance KPI tracking. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and leadership skills. Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
