Salesforce Technical Lead (Remote, Flexible Hours) Join Grantbook as a Salesforce Technical Lead and help grantmaking organizations streamline operations and maximize their impact. $100,500‑108,000 per year Full‑time Flexible hours and 4 weeks of vacation per year Remote (office available in Toronto for hybrid work) Salesforce Architect certification (or in progress) is required. About the Role We are looking for a senior technical authority who will serve as the go‑to expert within projects, ensuring our solutions are highly maintainable, aligned with Salesforce best practices, and tailored to the philanthropic sector. Responsibilities Lead and coach a team of developers and consultants, providing direction, feedback, and performance support. Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and internal consultants, ensuring Salesforce solutions are well‑architected and maintainable. Translate grantmaker requirements into sector‑specific solutions that are both replicable and adaptable. Mentor architects, developers, and implementation consultants, building technical confidence across the team. Stay current on Salesforce platform releases, especially non‑profit solutions, and translate updates into actionable improvements. Establish and maintain quality assurance practices, including solution reviews, reusable templates, configuration and testing frameworks. Lead technical peer reviews, office hours, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to foster continuous learning. Ensure all solutions are client‑ready, resilient, and future‑proof for evolving grantmaker needs. Drive the development of reusable managed packages for grantmaker business processes. Collaborate with the Salesforce Delivery Lead on governance, process improvements, and the long‑term technical roadmap. Contribute to Grantbook’s thought leadership through blogs, internal forums, and industry insights. Skills & Qualifications Required Salesforce Architect certification (valid or in progress) 8+ years Salesforce configuration and solution design, ideally in the nonprofit or grantmaking sector. 5+ years translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions. Previous experience leading a team of developers. Track record of delivering complex projects, preferably in the philanthropic sector. Experience building knowledge databases of managed packages, frameworks, and reusable templates. Proven ability to mentor and guide other Salesforce professionals. Experience with integrations using APIs and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi, Informatica, Workato). Experience with data migration at scale, ensuring accuracy and maintainability. Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and web technologies (HTML, CSS, Liquid). Awareness of Salesforce security best practices and compliance (e.g., GDPR). Excellent communication skills, translating technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders. Architectural certifications. Preferred Experience contributing to or developing managed packages or reusable frameworks. Knowledge of nonprofit funding cycles and financial workflows.
