Position Overview
2 Positions (18-month term position & Full-time position)

At Sport Manitoba, we fund and plan sports programs to promote the development of vibrant citizens and a thriving sport community in Manitoba. The Games Specialist position helps drive the Games Unit’s operations in order to meet its long-term vision of being recognized as the premier multi-sport games delivery agency in Canada. Within the Canada Games portfolio, Games Specialists support Team Manitoba’s objective to achieve outstanding results and develop provincial athletes into national team programming. Additionally, Games Specialists govern the Manitoba Games programs with the intention to deliver exceptional events that act as catalysts for athlete, coach, and sport development throughout the province.

The Games Specialist will support these endeavours by providing services to Team Manitoba and Manitoba Games Host Society committees in the areas of operational planning, program administration, and sport consultation. p>

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completion of post-secondary education in business management, sport management, or related field.
  • Experience working with provincial and/or national sport organizations is an asset.
  • Must be able to work extra time outside of normal office hours as required.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
