Analyze results and benchmark data and provide recommendations to leadership to improve safety performance Initial point of contact for any safety incident and with enforcement agencies (Ministry of Labour, Public Health, etc.)Participate in all Board of Inquiries for safety incidents Complete risk assessments, identify opportunities, and build plans to address the risk proactively Draft and distribute monthly safety bulletin to all leaders at the remote Camp Ensure participation and alignment with site safety programs Investigate all safety events (both Occupational and Food Safety) 3-5 years of experience in a role with Occupational Health and safety responsibilities Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, industry good practice Must be comfortable with frequent computer usage; good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications is required General understanding of Ontario food safety regulations and safe food handling procedures Previous experience working in remote camps, mining or similar industry would be a considerable asset Previous experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) would be an asset Advanced Food Handler Certification – preferred CRSP, CRST or working towards another recognized professional designation would be an asset Our Mission: Rooted in service and united by our purpose, we strive to do great things for each other, our partners, our communities, and our planet.
