OverviewLaPrairie Crane is one of Canada’s largest independent mobile-crane companies with fleet capabilities ranging from 5 – 600 tons, including all terrain, boom truck, carry deck, crawler, hydraulic truck, rough terrain, and tower cranes.We are seeking applications from skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians who are interested in joining our growing team in Winnipeg, MB.ResponsibilitiesInspecting heavy equipment for proper performanceDiagnosing faults using computerized testing equipmentAdjusting equipment and replacing faulty partsRepairing damaged equipment partsCleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty and automotive vehiclesRepairing and servicing machine attachmentsPerforming major repair work when necessaryConsulting with other Mechanics and Supervisor when neededReporting damaged or faulty equipment to managementTravel to other LaPrairie Crane locations when needed and be away for extended periods of timePerforms other duties as requiredQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentCertification as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Apprenticeship DocumentationCVIP License is considered an assetProven work experience as a Diesel or Heavy Equipment MechanicUnderstanding of computer testing technologiesKnowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic & electrical systems, and construction equipmentGood communication skillsThis role may include shift rotations, including to Yorkton, SK and other LaPrairie Crane locations, for periods up to 6 months or longer depending on business needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
