In t his role you will be responsible for support ing the environmental function through the development training monitoring and reporting of environmental programs and procedures .What youll doSupport development and implementation of the environmental management system including policies procedures and training.Assist with environmental licensing and monitoring for North American operations.Manage environmental assessments for capital projects acquisitions and divestitures.Oversee government environmental reporting and data management; provides reports and compliance recommendations.Support major environmental incident investigations and recommends corrective actions.Deliver training and coaching on environmental policies and best practices.Acts as a liaison with external regulatory agencies.Represent the company on external committees to influence and respond to regulatory changes.Advise on facility and equipment design to ensure regulatory compliance.Research regulatory requirements and industry standards to guide business decisions.Collaborate with operations to promote a strong environmental health and safety culture.Manage contractor selection and oversight to ensure compliance with company standards.Assist in budgeting for environmental projects.Contribute to long-term environmental strategy programs and performance metrics.Acts as a liaison with external regulatory agencies.What you bring to our teamMinimum 6 years of experience in environmental consulting or plant / processing environments.Bachelors degree in engineering science business or related field.Professional designation (e.g. ) preferred.Bilingual (English / French) with strong written and verbal communication skills.Detail-oriented with strong documentation abilities.Ab ility to work independently and collaboratively.Strong conflict resolution organizational and analytical skills .Proficient in Microsoft Office.In-depth knowledge of provincial and federal environmental regulations.Experience with ISO 14001 system development or implementation.Flexible to support multi-shift operations as needed.What we offerA competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.Short-Term Incentive Plan offering additional earning potential in the form of an annual bonus.Future security through a Retirement Savings Plan.We also strive to provide an inclusive and accessible recruitment and selection process.
