Apply via Dice today MUST BE LOCAL - FULLY ONSITE POSITION Based in Toronto, Canada Senior Network Engineer Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to work independently with our network infrastructure, focusing on servers, switches, and firewalls. This role requires expertise in Panorama, Palo Alto, Juniper switches, and VMware technologies. Key Responsibilities Support the Cyber Security team by implementing their solutions across network infrastructure Optimize and refine firewall rules based on security recommendations Manage Palo Alto solutions and Panorama cloud management platform Implement and maintain VPN security solutions Administer and support Juniper network switches Elevate current network infrastructure to enterprise-level corporate standards Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of network engineering experience Strong expertise in: Network design, operation, and security TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols Layer 2 network applications Network automation and VPN configuration Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative Project management experience or exposure to large‑scale enterprise networks Hands‑on experience with cloud‑managed Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama) Proficiency with Juniper network switches Preferred Certifications Palo Alto Network Engineer Track (PCNE) CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert) CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) Juniper Certifications Additional Preferred Skills Experience with Cloud Networking platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Primary Objectives Cloud Infrastructure & Security Implementation: Deploy cybersecurity solutions as recommended by our third‑party security partner (Cyber Defense Labs) Firewall Optimization: Analyze port usage, implement security recommendations, and maintain a secure, functional network environment NIST Compliance: Collaborate with external security firm to identify gaps and implement necessary security updates Team & Work Environment Work directly with IT Manager and one additional internal team member Partner closely with external Cyber Security firm (Cyber Defense Labs) Primary Cyber team located in Phoenix Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Information Technology Industries Software Development #J-18808-Ljbffr
