Overview
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate events, such as seminars and conferences
- Support staff in consultation and grievance procedures
- Manage information flow within the team
- Direct daily operations and supervise staff
- Evaluate and improve daily operations
- Motivate and train staff
- Open and distribute mail and other materials
- Plan and control budget and expenditures
- Review HR projects for compliance with laws and regulations
- Establish and implement policies and procedures
- Record minutes of meetings, seminars, and conferences
- Develop recruitment strategies
- Manage contracts and training programs
- Analyze employee data and prepare reports
- Advise senior management on HR matters
- Order office supplies and maintain inventory
- Liaise with management, union officials, and HR consultants
- Negotiate collective agreements
- Oversee payroll administration
- Set up and maintain filing systems
- Provide customer service and recruit new staff
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks and consult with clients
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- On-site work; no remote option
Technical Skills
- MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Google Drive, and Social Media
- Financial terminology and human resources knowledge
Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail required
- Ability to work independently and manage a large workload
