The Water Resources Team has an opportunity for a Senior Hydrologist or Water Resources Engineer in the Burnaby, BC office. The successful candidate will join our growing team of water resources specialists who value teamwork and enjoy the company of their colleagues.Mine water balance models, mine water management plans and water management infrastructure designs Hydrological modelling and incorporation of climate change into predictive models Managing tasks and projects according to approved scopes of work, and deliver quality reports on schedule and within budget Contract document preparation, including detailed design drawings and specifications, and project permitting Providing supervision, training, technical direction and mentoring to junior and intermediate level staff Contributing to and leading business development activities, including proposals, pre-qualifications, and relationship building with clients and prospective clients Consistent demonstration and promotion of policies and procedures for HSSE, including client-specific training (if applicable) Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills, including technical information exchange with clients, engineers and scientists, government agencies, as well as non-technical communication to the public Disciplined approach to project execution and technical excellence, and desire to grow in your career in a challenging environment that fosters self-improvement through leadership, mentoring and a diversity of experience Leadership in striving to continuously improve technical performance Master’s or Doctorate degree in Geoscience or Engineering or related field.Experience with GoldSim, R, hydrologic modelling would be an asset.Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
