We’re a small, collaborative team that values results, empathy, practicality, and professional development.The RoleWe’re looking for an Associate Family Lawyer with roughly 2–3 years of family law experience who’s ready to take the next step in their career. This is a full-time hybrid position, based in North York, with the flexibility to work remotely. You’ll manage your own files with guidance when needed, balancing independence with the support of a senior lawyer and experienced team. You’ll have meaningful client contact, courtroom experience, and opportunities to grow your advocacy skills in a mentorship-focused environment.What You’ll DoHandle a manageable caseload of family law matters, from intake to resolutionMeet and advise clients with compassion and clarityDraft affidavits, pleadings, financial statements, and agreementsConduct case conferences, motions, and settlement discussionsCollaborate with the team to share strategies and insightsStay up to date on legislative and case-law changesWhat We’re Looking For2–3 years of solid family law experience, including client management and appearancesStrong drafting, research, and analytical skillsExcellent communication — ability to explain complex issues without jargonConfident working independently and as part of a teamExperience negotiating and resolving matters with professionalism and tactJuris Doctor (JD) or LLB, in good standing with the Law Society of OntarioComfort with legal software and modern technology; we’re mostly paperlessA client-focused, empathetic approach with a steady sense of humourWhy You’ll Love Working HereWe offer a friendly, flexible, and growth-oriented environment where initiative is encouraged and your ideas are valued.
