Our engineering, design and manufacturing takes place right here in the Greater Toronto Area and you can be a part of it The role of Inside Sales Specialist creates an integrated service approach, providing exceptional support to our clients and agents, assisting Project Managers (PM) and Regional Sales Managers (RSM) to ensure key deadlines are met and high-quality lighting solutions are delivered. The role requires interfacing with Agents, Clients, Contractors, PMs, RSMs, Engineering and Supply Chain to coordinate project activities and deliverables effectively. This role requires constant communication with customers from opportunity until order is shipped. It is critical to provide a positive impression of GVA Lighting and our product, set proper expectations, accurately communicate technical information, and successfully coordinate and complete assigned tasks. Responsibilities: Work with Sales, Applications, PM, RSM and other Customer Service teams to quickly respond to customer inquiries. Keep up to date with all the latest product developments and revisions. Coordinate with PM to make necessary updates to ongoing projects to ensure latest products are being used. Work with agents directly to supply quotes, technical documentation, samples and any other support material. Assist customers/agents in the selection of the right lighting fixtures, controls and power supplies based on the application. Work with PM and RSM within the territory to coordinate activities on current projects and provide necessary support to bring in new opportunities. Be thoroughly knowledgeable about competitors’ products, benchmarking against GVA products when needed. Thorough, up-to-date knowledge of the latest pricelist and supporting technical documentation. Support PM by creating and coordinating Product Customization Orders (PCO). Provide exemplary customer service through prompt, constructive communication with sales agents and partners. Record project activities and client information using company ERP & CRM systems. Compile and keep track of project documentation such as bid documents, submittals, layouts, BOMs, quotes, contracts, agreements, etc. Collect and analyze quotation data to determine patterns of success or failure. Assist in sample quotation and coordination following GVA procedures. Ensure accuracy of BOMs, quotations, and assist with reviewing project submittal documents. Follow up on quotes, product demonstrations and other sales related activities with customers. Support other regions Specialists and Team leads to balance workload as needed. Order Responsibilities: Support PM with order coordination, entry and approvals. Help to ensure all orders under your region are entered, released, and planned timely and accurately. Help to ensure that orders/projects are planned out to allow enough time for each department to execute while staying within lead time commitments. Collaborate with PM to communicate with the agent or customer any order/project updates. Collaborate with PM to resolve customer complaints and establish corrective action plans. Qualifications: 1-3 years of experience in technical sales; A Technical Degree in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design is preferred; Ideally you have sound experience in long selling cycle; You are tenacious, curious and a solution-oriented team player; You are a problem solver; An excellent communicator with native fluency in English is required; Comfortable in a fast paced, electronic technology and engineering-based environment; Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
