We are looking for a sonographer to join our team providing fertility care at Oasis Fertility Center. Oasis Fertility Center is a state‑of‑the‑art fertility center providing fertility care to patients in Calgary, AB. The IVF Sonographer will play a crucial role in providing high‑quality ultrasound imaging services to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients undergoing fertility treatments. This position requires proficiency in reproductive ultrasound techniques, excellent patient communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Endovaginal ultrasound scan for the evaluation of ovarian follicles, endometrial lining, and other reproductive structures. Assess follicle development and provide accurate measurements and documentation for use in monitoring ovarian stimulation during IVF cycles. Conduct early pregnancy scans to confirm viability and monitor fetal development. Explain the procedure to patients, ensuring they understand the process and feel comfortable during the examination. Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, addressing concerns and providing support throughout their treatment journey. Record data accurately, and communicate the information to fertility specialists to interpret imaging results and contribute to the development of individualized treatment strategies. Be responsible for quality assurance, ensuring the accuracy of the data being entered into the electronic medical records system, in adherence with clinic protocols. Maintain ultrasound equipment, performing routine checks and coordinating maintenance as necessary. Collaborate with fertility specialists, nurses, embryologists, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive care for patients. Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases and contribute to treatment planning. Ensure compliance with all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain patient safety and privacy. Qualifications Education: Diploma or degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, with experience in obstetric and gynecological sonography preferred. Skills Proficiency in transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound techniques. Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure and document findings. Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient care. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Work schedule: 8 AM to 1 PM (exact timing may vary) with time allocated for charting and quality assurance. Occasional weekends on‑call may be required. Health care benefits are included.
