Unity Health Toronto is working toward making transformative changes in its relationship with Indigenous peoples and improving health care for Indigenous peoples at each of its sites. The Office of Indigenous Wellness, Reconciliation and Partnerships will hire for this mandate to facilitate access to First Nations, Metis, and Inuit culture and cultural services for clients during their visit and/or hospitalization. Responsibilities & Activities Liaises with the Manager/Project Manager to obtain the vision/goal for small scale projects and facilitates project planning, development and implementation. Ensures appropriate mechanisms are in place for optimal project delivery, including best‑practice guidelines and tools. Conducts needs assessment, defines project plans, deliverables, schedules and timelines. Develops and manages straight‑forward communication and initiatives that advance project goals. Communicates project plans and expectations clearly to enable optimal achievement. Uses quantitative and qualitative analytical tools to support decision‑making. Manages small‑scale project plans to deliver on time, on budget and in compliance with legislative requirements. Works closely with other departments and stakeholders, sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors progress and prepares status reports. Plans, budgets, oversees and documents all aspects of specific projects. Reviews project documentation when consultants are utilized. Liaises with authorities for approvals and prepares necessary documents. Manages project budget and schedule, maintaining minimal disruption to hospital services. Interviews candidates to identify appropriate staff or consultants. Motivates staff, delegates tasks and builds an effective team environment. Provides knowledge transfer to facilitate timely project completion. Implements systems to support day‑to‑day project staff activities. Coordinates with hospital service departments and provides regular progress reports. Ensures hospital‑wide communication when impacted, executing duties proactively. Educational, Knowledge & Skills Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with an inter‑professional/interdisciplinary team. Undergraduate degree in a relevant health or social services field or equivalent experience. 1–2 years of project management experience in a health care environment (asset). Experience in facilitation, collaboration and negotiation with multiple stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and listening skills. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Good presentation and negotiation skills. Strong problem‑recognition and problem‑solving skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. Analytical skills for proposal development/project management. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to think on own, pay close attention to detail, and take initiative. Ability to handle multiple personalities, conflict, and change.
