For more information on diversity and inclusion, visit https://www.alberta.ca/diversity-inclusion-policy.aspx Role Responsibilities Reporting to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for the overall management, administration, development, coordination and monitoring of services provided by the Red Deer Remand Centre. This includes the allocation of human, financial, and material resources in a manner consistent with the efficient and orderly delivery of institutional services. Entire operation including the legal administration of orders of the courts. Admission, detention, and release of inmates under various judicial documents. Provision of deterrence and rehabilitation of inmates through custody and correctional programs. Fiscal management of the correctional centre budget. Provision of a safe and secure environment for inmates and staff. Leadership and management of a large team of correctional employees in a complex correctional environment operating 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Qualifications University graduation in a related field (Criminology, Law Enforcement, Justice Studies, etc.). Seven years of progressively responsible experience (Deputy Director, Assistant Deputy Director, Director, Senior Manager). Assets Related experience within a law enforcement agency. Continued education in leadership, management, human resources and/or change management.
