The Fairville Colony School, is located in Bassano, are seeking applications for a mainstream Educational Assistant to work with students, to prepare them for the grades ahead. Job Duties:

support students in instruction as well as social and behavioral needs

encourage positive interactions between students and staff;

work closely and collaboratively with school staff including, but not limited to, classroom teachers and administration;

position may include activities such as lifting, transferring, and providing personal care, as necessary; and

position may have involvement in student school activities such as swimming or outdoor sports and may require the EA to participate with students.

Strong communication skills; written, verbal and reading

Ability to assist with all subject areas

Excellent problem solving, organizational and multitasking skills

Understanding and appreciation of Grasslands Public Schools mission and values

Able to contribute to a classroom environment that supports diversity and inclusion

Personal integrity and trustworthiness

Understanding of how the role of Educational Assistant impacts the community

Able to establish trust and rapport with students

Education and Certifications:

High School diploma

postsecondary training is an asset
