At Wilkinson & Company LLP you will be given every opportunity to reach your full potential and enjoy a rewarding and prosperous career.What You’ll Do:In this position, you will be working closely with our team of enthusiastic and skilled accounting professionals to provide high quality work and personal service to a wide variety of clients and industries.Reporting to Partners and Managers, you will be responsible for:Independently, or under supervisor, preparing financial statements, and working papers for audit engagements.Independently preparing financial statements and working papers for review and compilation engagements.Preparing corporate tax returns, trust returns, and personal income tax returns.Respond to client inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.Identify accounting issues and communicate findings or recommendations to senior team members.Ensure compliance with firm quality control policies and CPA professional standards.Contribute to process improvements and support the adoption of technology and automation in the accounting workflow.What You’ll Bring the Role:Graduate of a University of College Accounting Program or equivalent;Previous public accounting related experience is an asset;Knowledge of accounting standards and the Income Tax Act is an asset;Previous client service related experience is an asset;The ability to work effectively as a member of the team;The ability to effectively communicate with peers and clients both written and orally; andExperience working with, or familiarity with accounting and tax software such as Caseware, Tax Prep, Quickbooks and Simply Accounting is beneficial.Why Work for Wilkinson:Future leadership and advancement opportunitiesSupport for students pursuing their CPA Pathway.Opportunity for flexible, compressed, or modified work weeksPaid overtime including the opportunity to take up to two weeks per year off in lieu of overtime paymentFridays off – 8 days between July 1 and Labour DayOpportunity to take summers off unpaid (June 30 to September 1)We thank all applicants for their interest in working for Wilkinson & Company LLP.
