Job Overview: BOMCAS Canada is seeking a skilled and analytical Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst to join our team. As an M&A Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in conducting financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation to support clients' M&A activities while ensuring compliance with Canadian regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate closely with clients to understand their M&A goals, strategies, and financial positions.
  2. Perform financial analysis, including forecasting, valuation, and risk assessment.
  3. Conduct due diligence on target companies, evaluating financial statements and operations.
  4. Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and industry benchmarks.
  5. Prepare detailed financial models to assess potential M&A opportunities.
  6. Assist in the development of M&A strategies, including target identification and negotiation.
  7. Ensure compliance with Canadian regulatory standards and relevant tax laws.
  8. Prepare presentations and reports for clients and stakeholders.
  9. Collaborate with legal and financial teams to facilitate smooth M&A transactions.
  10. Stay up-to-date with changes in Canadian regulations and M&A trends.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as an M&A analyst, investment analyst, or in a similar role.
  3. Strong knowledge of Canadian regulatory standards, including tax laws and financial reporting.
  4. Proficiency in financial analysis tools, valuation techniques, and Microsoft Office suite.
  5. Excellent analytical skills to assess potential M&A opportunities and risks.
