Intermediate Civil Engineer – WSP Canada (Ontario: Thunder Bay, Sudbury) We are seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer to join our Resources subsector in Ontario. You will contribute to design, construction, and maintenance of heavy industrial civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and building strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Design site plans including grading, water distribution, access roads, drainage, and stormwater/wastewater management systems. Develop, verify, and finalize technical deliverables: drawings, specifications, reports, and engineering calculations. Ensure quality and accuracy of project deliverables, conducting thorough reviews. Provide construction support and conduct site reviews during construction. Prepare applications and supporting documents for permitting. Assist in proposal preparation, including fee estimates and technical documents. Support project management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering. 5–10 years of experience in consulting engineering firms, specifically in Civil Design and Site Planning. Experience within heavy industrial projects preferred. In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, codes, and standards. Professional Engineering Licence in Ontario (P.Eng) or equivalent in another province. Eligible for federal security clearance. Ability to collaborate in a multi‑disciplinary environment and adapt to changing project requirements. Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D; knowledge of Visual OTTHYMO, Pix4D, and Revit a plus.
