The Yukon Geological Survey (YGS) acquires and disseminates geological and geohazard knowledge to support exploration; to inform resource and land management planning; to assist with infrastructure development; and to engage communities, schools, and the public. The Head of Bedrock Geology is a key member of the branch management team, participating in the design, development and implementation of Yukon government programs and services in support of government, the mineral industry and other Yukon Geological Survey (YGS) clients. The incumbent leads the bedrock geoscience program at YGS, developing objectives, strategies and scientific standards related to the collection, analysis and reporting of bedrock geoscience information.
