Job Summary and Requirements
This is a full time, permanent position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Yukon Geological Survey acquires and disseminates geological and geohazard knowledge to support exploration; to inform resource and land management planning; to assist with infrastructure development; and to engage communities, schools and the public.
Essential Qualifications
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following education and qualifications. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
Ph.D. or M.Sc. degree in Earth Sciences or related field with specialization in ore systems and/or metallogeny, and a sound knowledge of Canadian Cordilleran geology.
Resumes must also include a list of publications, maps and technical presentations, and demonstrate experience in:
Planning and delivering geological exploration programs;
Working with and leading multi-disciplinary research teams;
Assessing mineral potential by integrating a variety of geological data sets (e.g. bedrock geology, geophysics, soil geochemistry, etc.)
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability
Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to build consensus and work with partners with a range of values and interests;
Excellent communication skills, including an ability to present complex information to a non-technical audience;
Ability to prioritize work in order to meet tight deadlines
