The science team is seeking a passionate and creative scientist to fill the role of Scientist – Process Development and Manufacturing Sciences. We're looking for a teammate proficient in the planning and execution of experiments, maintaining equipment and performing various molecular biology and biochemistry laboratory techniques.

 The role will involve substantial bench work to develop and validate the reagents that power our next-generation assays. We are constantly optimizing our lab to help push science forward at unprecedented rates. You will be expected and encouraged to actively contribute to our product development direction, and present novel procedural and scientific concepts that will positively impact all aspects of the operations.

  • Work in a cross-disciplinary team with the goal of driving innovation of scalable processes related to the manufacture and use of nanoparticles and other reagents
  • Develop, optimize and validate new analytics to support our process development pipeline
  • Author, review, and hone our standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve quality and accelerate our development activities;
  • Be actively involved in laboratory management including inventory management and supply chain responsibilities
  • Partner closely to provide manufacturing support to our research, assay development, downstream formulation, and engineering teams to achieve performance requirements.
  • Manage multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicate effectively with peers and leadership to support decision-making, including summarizing results in reports and presentations
  • Contribute to departmental strategies and provide input on lab requirements and improvements

What you'll need:

  • Sc or post-graduate degree in chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering, or related field with 2 years of hands on laboratory experience
  • Experience with execution of experiments in a wet lab preferably in an industry setting
  • Ability to communicate results and concepts clearly to fellow scientists 
  • Ability to handle a diverse workload
  • High learning agility
  • GMP experience will be considered an asset
  • Experience with nanoparticle-based assay development and characterization will be considered an asset #J-18808-Ljbffr
