In this role, you will lead the sales team and support the strategic direction of the housing business in Western Canada. You will manage and refine product strategy to meet the changing demands of regional markets and consumers. Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Housing for Western Canada, you'll develop and implement a best-in-class strategy to expand our home sales capabilities across Alberta and Saskatchewan.

With over 10 years of experience in residential housing sales management, you possess deep knowledge of real estate transactions, broker relations, and the legal processes in residential housing. Your expertise will help us achieve sales targets and develop a best-in-class sales strategy for growth. What Will You Do?

At Dream, we take great pride in the homes we build. Here are the primary responsibilities you'll take on in this role:

  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy for all Housing regions in Western Canada, covering both presale and speculative housing.
  • Collaborate closely with all stakeholders to align the sales team's vision and ensure top- and bottom-line results.
  • Serve as a key member of the senior leadership team.
  • Work alongside the General Managers of internal Land departments, the Senior Director of Operations (Housing), the Director of Product Development, and team leaders from Design, Purchasing, Marketing, Finance, and Construction to achieve common goals and ensure mutual understanding of how each area impacts the others.
  • Manage team performance by setting clear expectations, offering coaching, and measuring results. Create an environment that motivates and engages talent to reach objectives.
  • Lead change initiatives within the sales team that align with the overall strategy and values of Dream.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on sales metrics, housing products, volumes, lot and home inventory, speculative inventory, market trends, and competitive research, allowing you to adapt strategies as needed to achieve results.
  • Identify and acquire the necessary resources and talent to meet business objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including legal professionals and brokers, in the communities where we operate.
  • Continuously refine and manage the customer experience plan (CRM), ensuring optimal relationship management and feedback systems.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts align with and support the sales strategy, including content creation for materials, social media, and show homes.
  • Promote continuous learning within the team, stay current on industry trends, and attend seminars to help Dream build better homes and communities.

What Type of Experience and Skills Do You Have?

Here are the key qualifications we're looking for:

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in residential new home sales management for a mid- to high-volume builder.
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Extensive experience in single-family and low-rise housing sales.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team (both direct and indirect reports).
  • Expertise in real estate contracts, law, and new home construction.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, analytical, and negotiation skills—both verbal and written.
  • A proven track record of collaboration, creative problem-solving, and initiative-taking.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
