Come join us.The Senior Actuarial Analyst is responsible for working independently and with other members of the actuarial team to build, create, and help implement pricing models, reserving models, and other actuarial or predictive analytics. The person should be able to complete the whole project from beginning to end if needed and deliver the project within the expected time frame.The Senior Actuarial Analyst reports to the Actuarial Manager and works in conjunction with other senior actuarial analysts. This role will provide some support to any Actuarial Analysts that require assistance.What will you do?Data LiteracyThe Senior Actuarial Analyst is responsible for understanding what the data means, and possesses the ability to “clean” it as required with minimal assistance.The Senior Actuarial Analyst is responsible for building statistical models for many problems and understands the“bigger picture”. Will work with others to learn and improve on their models.Implementation SupportThe Senior Actuarial Analyst can assist with implementation requirements such as excel rater creation or maintenance, renewal lists, impact studies, etc. as required without assistance.Personal DevelopmentThe Senior Actuarial Analyst will make serious attempts at progressing through the CAS exams.The Senior Actuarial Analyst will also perform other, project-specific required research.CoachingThe Senior Actuarial Analyst will provide technical coaching and mentoring to teammates as requiredWhat will you need to succeed in this role?Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics. ACAS designation (5-7 CAS exams or equivalent)3-5 years of experience at another P&C insurance companyor at a life insurance company3-5 years of experience in a Data Science roleCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
