Hospital and Community Clinic Details Invermere & District Hospital is a Level 1 rural hospital with a modern, well‑equipped 12‑bed Emergency Department and an 8‑bed acute care unit. Closely located to two long‑term care facilities, it provides a full spectrum of care in a collaborative and supportive setting. Invermere is home to two well‑established, full‑service, team‑based family practice clinics, Invermere Medical Clinic (6 physicians) and Chisel Peak Medical Clinic (7 physicians), offering longitudinal care supported by allied health professionals including RNs, chronic disease nurses, dietitians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, midwives, mental wellness clinicians and social workers. Your Practice We are currently seeking a full or part‑time Family Physician to join our medical community. Start date is flexible and we’re happy to work with you to create a schedule that meets your needs and aligns with your professional interests. Clinic work: Full EMR, collaborative team environment, billing support Emergency: Share in ED call coverage (1:9), 1 in 4 weekends Inpatient and Long‑Term Care: Shared responsibility with flexible scheduling Teaching: Opportunity to mentor UBC medical students and residents – a rewarding part of our medical community Physicians in Invermere describe the Emergency Department as one of the most supportive in East Kootenay, with excellent local and regional backup. Professionally and financially rewarding, the Emergency work includes MOCAP and REEF rural incentives.
