And then we kept going...OverviewWe are looking to hire a Plant Operator / P&D Driver for our Daniels medical waste treatment facility in Moncton NB. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.P&D Driver part-time or full-time as this position will involve driving, delivering / picking up waste containers to and from customer site.What will your job involveReceiving and processing of the various waste streams.Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.Competently performs pre-trip and post-trips inspections with the intent of identifying and communicating minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor and also completes daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device.Loads and unloads truck by placing and securing items in such a manner that prevents damage to the products and truck; regular lifting will be required.Local and occasional out-of-town routes may require some overnights as well.Ensuring all materials are properly packaged and orders are fully complete and in accordance with the packing slip prior to trip departure.Deliver and collect products / waste containers in accordance with scheduled route and serves customers by understanding, resolving and/or forwarding customer questions.Diligently completes Daniels commercial vehicle cleaning and disinfecting protocol on a daily basis.Accurately records information on packing slip and manifest ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations.Complies with all environmental & health and safety policies and procedures.Ensures housekeeping issues (e.g., spills, floor dry, debris not on floor) are addressed immediately.Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Supervisor.What are we looking forSomeone with a can-do attitude who is committed to efficient timely scheduling and has previous experience in a labor-intensive job.
