Overview Dal‑Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries, is the United States’ largest manufacturer of tile and natural stone. Position Summary We are seeking a dynamic Architectural Sales Representative to drive commercial sales within a designated territory. The Representative will generate leads, close sales, and implement marketing plans to meet both personal and business goals. Responsibilities Travel throughout the region to call on architects, designers, developers, general contractors, and national accounts (3‑5 calls per day, 20‑25 per week). Identify and establish relationships with the top 25 architectural and design firms. Maintain architectural libraries in a clean, well‑organized manner and replace outdated sample tools immediately. Pursue new and maintain existing national accounts, reporting product forecast and construction schedules quarterly. Promote new products during sales calls by presenting actual loose product samples. Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms (40 required per year). Develop in‑depth knowledge of all Dal‑Tile products and installation methods by attending vendor presentations and workshops. Organize and attend large project tracking meetings every 4‑6 weeks. Accurately report closed/won opportunity dollar values to track required revenue goals. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and company policy related to safety. Perform all other assigned duties as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Two or more years of sales or industry experience within the A&D community. Floor covering sales and/or slab experience preferred. Competencies Self‑starter Excellent time management Ability to work individually and in group settings Highly organized Strong communication skills Exercises independent judgment and initiative Basic computer skills Other Pertinent Job Information The role requires standing, using hands, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 80 pounds regularly. The position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, a wide range of temperatures, and a loud noise level.
