**Midrange Specialist**
The Midrange Specialist’s role is to define, manage, and maintain the midrange server environment and provide technical direction and expertise. The Midrange Specialist will work closely with development and technical teams providing direction and support. This Service Area includes, but is not limited to:
- Define, maintain, and evolve the Midrange System architecture.
- Analyze and resolve complex performance user/system problems and outages.
- Disaster recovery planning, maintenance, and testing.
- Research, evaluate and recommend new technologies
- Monitor, troubleshoot, administer, and tune the operating system and hardware Installation & configuration of system hardware, software, and third-party software.
technology solutions and provide Tier II support.
- Strong vendor relationship management and troubleshooting experience.
- Work with security group to provide system security administration.
- Perform system management activities including tape backup management, capacity and performance management, incident management, and user management.
- Documentation of system maintenance procedures and system tool usage.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
**Experience**:
- system administration: 1 year (preferred)
- System architecture: 1 year (preferred)
