Seniority Level: Mid‑Senior; Employment Type: Full‑time; Job Function: Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology; Industry: Textile Manufacturing. Primary Objective Increase commercial sales in the designated territory by engaging architects, designers, and national accounts to secure proprietary specifications for Daltile. Major Function And Scope Travel throughout the assigned region to call on regular and prospective customers, including architects, designers, developers, general contractors, and national accounts (3–5 calls per day, 20–25 per week). Identify and establish relationships with the top 25 architectural and design firms. Maintain architectural libraries in a clean, organized manner, replacing outdated sample tools and placing new products promptly. Pursue new and maintain existing national accounts, following up and reporting quarterly with product forecasts and construction schedules. Emphasize new product promotion during sales calls, presenting loose product samples that best represent the product. Schedule regular product knowledge seminars with architectural and design firms using appropriate presentation tools (at least 40 per year). Develop in‑depth knowledge of all Daltile products, allied products, and installation methods by attending vendor presentations, workshops, and joint sales calls. Organize and attend large project tracking meetings every 4–6 weeks. Accurately report closed/won opportunities dollar values to track revenue goals. Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and company policy regarding safety and guiding principles. Perform all other assigned duties as required. Experience And Knowledge Required BA degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Two or more years of sales or industry experience within the A&D community. Floor‑covering sales and/or slab experience preferred. Competencies Self‑starter Excellent time management Ability to work individually and in group settings Highly organized Strong communication skills Independent judgment and initiative Basic computer skills Other Pertinent Job Information The job requires standing, walking, and lifting up to 80 lbs regularly. The associate may need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and may be exposed to mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, temperature variations, and loud noise.
