Position Overview Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, this role assists with the deployment of continuous improvement activities and initiatives within Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. Location Darlington, ON Responsibilities Assist with process tools, personnel, and workshops with lessons learned. Plan and facilitate key problem-solving workshops, track actions, and ensure effectiveness of countermeasures. Support the Building Smarter Innovations program on site. Triage incoming items and maintain a closed-loop system. Collaborate with the CI Manager on the rollout and communications of Excellence in Nuclear Construction (ENC) Initiative. Schedule, attend, and help facilitate ENC workshops. Follow up on action tracking to ensure timely rollout of ENC phased approach. Plan activities implementation (T-Process, Last Planner System) as implemented in projects. Promote a nuclear safety culture and support Human Performance program management. Gather metrics and create reports and scorecards. Train key staff and conduct paired Waste Walks in field and office settings. Implement and maintain a BIG Room. Provide oversight of Layered Leadership Models and train personnel on Waste Walk and Waste elimination methodologies. Qualifications Post-secondary education in Engineering or Business. Experience in continuous improvement, Lean, 6 Sigma, and Last Planner System is an asset. Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with Electronic Document Management Systems is an asset. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Self-motivated, work effectively with minimal direction, and manage multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment. Valid driver’s license. Other Requirements Regular, reliable attendance. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others. Perform work safely and effectively, following oral and written instructions, warning signs, and policies. Work normal operating hours, organize and complete work within given deadlines; work overtime and weekends as required. May work at various locations with varying conditions.
