Reporting to the Project Manager, this position centers on managing rebar work packages, coordinating material logistics, and ensuring seamless communication between field crews, engineering teams, and suppliers. The successful candidate will be local to Darlington, Oshawa or surrounding areas, or willing to relocate.ResponsibilitiesAssist in developing and maintaining rebar-specific Work Packages in collaboration with construction and engineering teamsTrack progress of installation and provide updates on milestones and schedule adjustmentsCoordinate the preparation and delivery of design documents, shop drawings, and turnover packagesEnsure construction activities comply with approved standards, nuclear quality programs, and safety proceduresFacilitate communication between field trades and design engineers to resolve issues and clarify requirementsForecast and monitor changes in rebar scope and manage change orders accordinglyOversee procurement of materials, validate specifications, and ensure traceability from delivery to installationInterface with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support rebar-related project needsDevelop detailed work plans in coordination with construction leadsConduct field inspections to verify rebar placement accuracy and compliance with quality standardsPerform site safety checks with a focus on handling and installation practicesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives targeting construction efficiency and qualityQualificationsPost-secondary education in Civil Engineering or a related Technology diploma program3–5 years of experience in project coordination or engineering within a construction or EPC environment, with emphasis on rebar or structural concreteFamiliarity with Nuclear Quality Programs and rebar traceability requirements preferredStrong communication skills for interfacing with field crews, engineers, and suppliersProven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction settingDetail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skillsService-oriented mindset with a commitment to safety and quality operationsOther RequirementsRegular, reliable attendanceWork productively and meet deadlines timelyCommunicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environmentPerform work safely and effectively.
