Occupational Therapist – Cambridge, ON Location: 250 Hespeler Road, Cambridge, ON Type: Full Time Responsibilities Provide comprehensive, evidence-based occupational therapy services to clients. Apply clinical expertise in assessment, intervention, consultation, case management, discharge planning, education, and follow-up. Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, and specialized seating and positioning assessments. Identify appropriate equipment needs and initiate recommendations. Consult local vendors for equipment trials and complete funding applications for Ministry of Health, insurance agencies, and funding parties. Educate clients and families on seating and positioning, independence with activities of daily living, wheelchairs, and adaptive aides. Provide ongoing evaluation of restraint use, wound prevention, falls, and injury prevention. Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client’s chart. Excel in a collaborative, inter‑disciplinary team environment. Exhibit sound professional judgment. Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of current occupational therapy standards, modalities, and scope of practice; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Registered and in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists in your province. 1–3 years of occupational therapy experience preferred; newly licensed graduates accepted. Valid driver’s license; reliable vehicle may be required. Valid vulnerable sector screening check, when applicable. Proof of tuberculin (Mantoux) clearance within 6 months, when applicable. Clinical experience in brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, home safety, ergonomics, or return to work is an asset. Passion for the profession and commitment to ongoing professional development. Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem‑solving, time management, computer, and documentation skills. Proficiency in computer skills. Bilingualism – French and English are assets.
