DescriptionIntertek is seeking a Technical Sales Representative (Building & Construction - On-site) to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a versatile career in the Building and Construction industry.We are looking for candidates with B2B sales experience and a background in construction project estimating. The successful candidate will identify on-site material testing bidding opportunities, respond to RFPs/RFQs, and track project developments through to award. A strong understanding of construction projects and excellent tracking and time management skills are essential.Reporting StructureThis position reports to the Sales Director Canada and is based on-site at our Coquitlam BC campus.Key ResponsibilitiesResponding to and tracking project RFPs/RFQsUsing construction project platforms to identify bidding opportunitiesProspecting and client outreach through various activitiesCreating bid packages and following up on bidsMaintaining an opportunity pipeline and preparing reportsContributing to regional sales and revenue targetsPerforming additional duties as requiredQualificationsUniversity Degree preferred; college diploma acceptableAt least 2 years of construction project experience, preferably in on-site quality testing or project estimatingExperience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including GCs and municipalitiesSelf-motivated with effective time management skillsExperience with bidding platforms like Dodge Analytics or Construct Connect is an assetExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and working with diverse teamsAbility to travel locally (no overnight travel required)Additional InformationThis is a part-time position with competitive salary and benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, RRSP matching, paid holidays, and more.
