Your Opportunity
Our Peterborough office is looking for a
Senior Accountant
to join the Assurance team and own the following responsibilities: In conjunction with and under the supervision of a Manager, you will be responsible for the completion of all aspects of the client engagement and the on-the-job training of other team members. Participate in both audit and review engagements for a variety of clients in diverse industries Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements and tax returns according to Firm and regulatory standards for clients in a variety of businesses. Build effective working relationships with client contacts, and respond effectively to client requests and suggestions related to engagement. Identify process improvements for future assignments and share their knowledge and experience with other team members Completion of additional ad-hoc duties or assignments as required

Your experience and education Have completed or be pursuant of a professional designation (CPA) 2-3 years of relevant work experience in public accounting You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills This role will require the ability to work extra hours from time-to-time per business requirements
