Put your future in motion PRIMARY PURPOSE Provides advice to TransLink’s Lean and Continuous Improvement department and service lines in the areas of strategy, operations, consulting, performance improvement, process optimization, and Lean Six Sigma application. Develops and leads lean six sigma programs and procedures to support cultural change across the Enterprise with a focus on Safety and Customer Experience. Key Accountabilities Project Management – Manages the delivery of management consulting projects in strategy, operational excellence, root cause analysis, business process improvement, performance measurement, financial analysis, and best practice benchmarking. Supports internal stakeholders across TransLink, BCRTC, CMBC and Transit Police to manage the development and implementation of improvement projects, emphasizing Safety and Customer Experience. Adjusts plans, recommends process enhancements, and makes decisions based on analytical findings while presenting reports to Senior Leadership. Lean Academy Instruction – Acts as the primary instructor for the TransLink Enterprise Lean Academy for BCRTC, CMBC, TransLink, and the Transit Police. Develops and delivers Lean Academy Lean 101, Lean Green Belt Champions certification, and future Lean Management System courses. Manages Lean Academy Yellow Belt and Green Belt candidates, including check‑in meetings, Kaizen event coaching, and mentorship. Stakeholder Liaison – Liaises with senior internal stakeholders and Enterprise “Lean Champions” to build a continuous improvement environment supporting changes in Safety and Customer Experience. Proactively engages stakeholders to identify service business process streamlining opportunities and supports TransLink in the BC Public Sector Lean Forum. Kaizen Leadership – Leads, manages, and facilitates Kaizen project requests (e.g., 5S, Value Stream Mapping, A3 Problem Solving, DMAIC) from senior management involving moderate complexity. Escalates critical problems to the Senior Manager, Continuous Improvement. Prepares reports and presentations on Kaizen results and recommends actions to senior management. Lean Academy Site Management – Manages the Lean Academy intranet site, maintaining Lean tools, resources, Lean Project Management Methodology, success stories, newsletters, and site content. Qualifications Education & Experience – Degree in business or a related discipline plus a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification that required completion of Lean Six Sigma projects. Six (6) years of progressive experience in management consulting/advisory services, process improvement in large, complex organizations. Other Requirements Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles, theories, concepts, and practices from a Black Belt certification. Advanced interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to provide expertise, advice and influence at all levels of the organization, including Senior Leadership. Excellent project management skills and the ability to move a team forward and maintain momentum. Strong track record in delivering training in lean process management programs. Advanced coaching skills and the ability to transfer change management knowledge and skills effectively. Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills. Work Designation Hybrid – this position offers the flexibility of working both on‑site and remotely within B.C. Rate of Pay The salary for this position ranges from $89,600 – $134,400 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
