OverviewPeople Experience Manager at BC Ferries. The role reports to the Director, People Experience and is responsible for planning, developing and managing the provision of People Experience services, with hands-on expertise in employee and union relations, performance and attendance management, employee development and collective agreement interpretation.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the development of Employee Relations/Industrial Relations strategies, objectives and practicesDevelop strong relationships with client group managers to enable effective and collaborative handling of employee mattersProvide advice and guidance to Managers/Supervisors on interpretation and administration of the Collective Agreement, policies and practicesSupport the grievance process and work toward appropriate grievance resolution with the UnionManage pro-active attendance support programsProvide guidance to Managers/Supervisors on administering appropriate remedial actionConduct fact-finding interviews and prepare letters of disciplineFoster professional working relationships with managers, supervisors and union representativesCollaborate with the Recruitment Centre of Excellence to support recruitment within the client groupSupport Work Abilities and Return to Work Advisors in coordinating employee benefit programs ( STIIP, LTD, WCB, return-to-work) and accommodationsAssist with the preparation and maintenance of job descriptionsCoordinate the separation of employees and apply appropriate severance arrangementsWhat you bring to the teamAdministrationInform key departmental stakeholders of issues and policy matters in a timely mannerMaintain thorough and comprehensive correspondence to foster positive client perceptionsPrepare for and participate actively in meetingsFacilitate effective peer and employee working relationsQualificationsUniversity or College degree in a related field or equivalent3–4 years of human resources and labour relations experience in a complex organization; at least 2 years at a managerial level or equivalentSkills and CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to mentor and manage a large group of employees while upholding safety, quality and customer serviceStrong time-management skills; ability to find creative solutions to promote teamwork and department successDemonstrated integrity and confidentiality with a passion to learn, educate and promote growth and innovationJoin usIf this sounds like your next great career move, please submit your cover letter and resume by November 12, 2025.Additional InformationThis is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $98,500 to $123,100 per annum.
