Overview People Experience Manager at BC Ferries. The role reports to the Director, People Experience and is responsible for planning, developing and managing the provision of People Experience services, with hands-on expertise in employee and union relations, performance and attendance management, employee development and collective agreement interpretation. Responsibilities Participate in the development of Employee Relations/Industrial Relations strategies, objectives and practices Develop strong relationships with client group managers to enable effective and collaborative handling of employee matters Provide advice and guidance to Managers/Supervisors on interpretation and administration of the Collective Agreement, policies and practices Support the grievance process and work toward appropriate grievance resolution with the Union Manage pro-active attendance support programs Provide guidance to Managers/Supervisors on administering appropriate remedial action Conduct fact-finding interviews and prepare letters of discipline Foster professional working relationships with managers, supervisors and union representatives Collaborate with the Recruitment Centre of Excellence to support recruitment within the client group Support Work Abilities and Return to Work Advisors in coordinating employee benefit programs ( STIIP, LTD, WCB, return-to-work) and accommodations Assist with the preparation and maintenance of job descriptions Coordinate the separation of employees and apply appropriate severance arrangements What you bring to the team Administration Inform key departmental stakeholders of issues and policy matters in a timely manner Maintain thorough and comprehensive correspondence to foster positive client perceptions Prepare for and participate actively in meetings Facilitate effective peer and employee working relations Qualifications University or College degree in a related field or equivalent 3–4 years of human resources and labour relations experience in a complex organization; at least 2 years at a managerial level or equivalent Skills and Competencies Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to mentor and manage a large group of employees while upholding safety, quality and customer service Strong time-management skills; ability to find creative solutions to promote teamwork and department success Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality with a passion to learn, educate and promote growth and innovation Join us If this sounds like your next great career move, please submit your cover letter and resume by November 12, 2025 . Additional Information This is a regular, full-time position with a salary range of $98,500 to $123,100 per annum.
