Yes Key Accountabilities: Daily performance monitoring of various mine earth structures Deliver geotechnical measurements utilizing instruments such as: Slope Inclinometers, Vibrating Wire Piezometers, and Shape Accelerometer Arrays Off-road driving in all weather conditions Monthly inspections to identify issues with tools and instrumentation inventory, weekly attendance in team meetings, and daily attendance in toolbox meetings Diagnose, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instruments Collect and perform quality control on geotechnical instrumentation data What You Bring to The Role: Currently enrolled or recently graduated in an Engineering Technologist program, Engineering or Geology program in a field related to Mining (Civil, Geological, Geology) from a recognized school. Must be able to carry 20 kg 100 m over rough terrain continuously Highly motivated individual with good leadership and communication/networking skills Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract Off-road experience is an asset A pre-employment drug screening test must be successfully completed What We Offer: Competitive salary Quality camp facilities with multiple amenities available Company Sponsored Fly-In/Fly-Out from Calgary or Edmonton, Alberta Multiple volunteer opportunities within the community Students may be eligible for relocation assistance pursuant to Canadian Natural’s Student Relocation Policy.
